Art Works Fine Art Publishing always uses the most archival materials available, thus the quality and longevity of your edition are assured. Choose from a variety of specially selected and tested 100% rag watercolor papers or canvas. Our professional staff is ready to guide you through the process of the creation of your edition from our  in-house pre-press photography services, paper selection, color consultation and proofing to the actual printing of your edition. Art Works Fine Art Publishing is a charter member of the International Fine Art Digital Printmakers Association, a body dedicated to the continued research and standardization of digital fine art printing practices and materials in the interest of quality for the consumer.

Our Materials

We offer a variety of archival surfaces for printing giclees.

  • Exhibition Canvas Matte: heavy-weight cotton-poly blend, tight weave 395gsm (coated with a water-based varnish)
  • Cold Press: 100% cotton rag, watercolor texture 305gsm
  • Hot Press: 100% cotton hot press, smooth 305gsm
  • Exhibition Fiber: fiber-based photo paper, luster 325gsm

Proofing

Proofing is the process in which the client is presented with a representative print to assure color accuracy.

Individual proof: $15

Proofing Setup: $125

Our comprehensive proofing setup includes multiple rounds of proofs (2-4), digital archiving, and re-proofing of a file should printing methods change.

Prints that are considered “direct outputs” are made directly from a digital file and include no retouching or color corrections. Digital files submitted for direct output printing must be .TIFF format and at 300dpi at 100% of the print size.
